Image Gallery
Here are some of the images I have made over the years. I hope to expand it into a multipage gallery in the near future.
This site is under construction, and I am getting used to a new format. Please bear with me as I add new things.
Photography is a passion for me, and has been for 35 years as of 2026. I use a wide range of equipment from moden digital cameras to vintage, large-format film cameras.
I hop you enjoy my pictures. I will be adding more in the near future.
Moulton Regional Park Footbridge in Yacot, Washington
I like the sitllness of the water that lends a mirror-like quality, and reflects the bridge as almost a perfect circle. A short way to the right of the picture is Lucia Falls, so I think about the gentle water here as the Calm Before the Storm.
Cannon Beach Sunset, July 2022
This has turned out to be one of my most popular images. Lots of people refer to the big haystack rock on the right as the “Goonies Rock”. Cannon Beack locals and most everyone else simply call it “Haystack Rock.”. Either way, it looks really good dressed up in a sunset.
Water Colors, Wahkeena Falls, October 2000
Sometimes the conditions are not right for landscapes. I find that those days are right for point my camera downwards.
White River Falls, June 2012
White River Falls is on Oregon’s dry side, known by some as the Rain Shadow. I found my photographic soul in those semi-arid hills east of the Cascade Mountains starting about 2010 and lasting until the present. White River Falls caries runoff from Mount Hood’s White Glacier, which eventually reaches the Deschtes, and then the Mighty Columbia.
Caboose
I find old cars and trains to be fascinating. I regularly photograph rusting things in their natural habitats (fileds, rail yards, amid wildflowers) as often as I can.
Cedar Creek Grist Mill, October 2019
Cedar Creek Grist Mill is the oldest operating mill in the Pacific Northwest. It is nestled in a valley about 8 miles from Woodland, Washington through which Cedar Creek flows on its way into the Lewis River. The mill’s water wheel is horizontal, and is under the mill. I find that fastenating.
